About Masis Youth Center

Masis Youth Center is a unique facility set up to develop initiatives from young people in the town and to support existing and new projects. The Center aims to facilitate the all-round development of young people, to expand their horizons and bring out their talents and abilities, to encourage civic engagement, and to create a culture of volunteering.

At present, Masis Youth Center works in three areas: education, event organising and volunteering.

Education Center

The first branch of the Masis Youth Center to be set up, focuses on developing young people’s all-round knowledge and skills.  It uses game-based learning to make it easier for students to take in material.

At present, the Center runs the following special-interest activities:

- English courses (for beginners and intermediate students)

- A literature club

- A geography club

- A drama circle

- A music group

- A debating society

- A cinematography club

Event Center

Organises special occasions and campaigns, bringing together Masis residents to participate in projects aimed at improving the quality of life in the town.

The Event Center runs town festivals, urban improvement initiatives, charity campaigns and other events in Masis.

Volunteer Center

Was set up to support volunteer initiatives from Masis residents at a local level, and to foster a culture of volunteering, civil engagement and social consciousness among them.

The Center aims to encourage active young people to volunteer, and to involve Masis residents in social action aimed at addressing the town’s social problems and supporting those in need.

The Center works in two areas:

- Establishing and promoting a culture of volunteering at all levels: among residents, among the town’s leadership, and in the media

- Organising a movement of volunteers: supporting and shaping proposals, creating a database of volunteers, holding personal interviews, and training
